You are part of the crew, but you are not with them in person. Instead your voice reaches far across the stars to advise them from home. Technically you work for The Company, but the lives of the Crew are in your hands, and you care for them more than you could ever care about The Company’s bottom line.

This playbook changes the game significantly by creating a constant link between earth and the Crew, and making Earth an explicitly hostile force to contend with. That can be really fun, but please be aware that using this playbook as written will make Earth interested in colonisation of the stars. Your Crew is encouraged to work against Earth in this, but that tension is not a light thing to play with. Make sure that everyone at your table is interested in a hostile Earth relationship and exploring themes of colonisation before using this playbook.
